Ministry of Public Works sets weight carrying limits for different types of trucks

AFGHANISTAN, Feb. 14 – The Ministry of Public Works has prepared a short-term plan for the control of the weight of high tonnage trucks by the new design for different types of trucks, which is applicable from today till further order.

The types of vehicles and weight transfer in tons are as follows:

A 24-wheeler truck is allowed to carry a weight of 66 tons

A 22-wheeler truck is allowed to carry a weight of 62 tons

A 20-wheeler truck is allowed to carry a weight of 58 tons

18-Tire truck 6-Tier 3-Part Pair Tire is allowed to carry a weight of 54 tons.

The 14 tire trailer of the  allows three-wheeled transmission of up to 5 tons.

12 tires truck, two-part twin tires are allowed to carry a weight of 47 tons.

Tyler 3-tier, horse six-tier Taylor single-wheeled three-seater can carry a weight of 5 tons

12 tire truck is allowed to carry a weight of 34 tons

10 tire truck is allowed to carry a weight of 35 tons

10 Tier Kamaz truck and 10 Tier trucks are allowed to carry a weight of 32 tons

A 8-tire truck has a carrying capacity of 32 tons

A two-part 8-bolt and 10-bolt truck is allowed to carry a weight of 28 tons

Two-seater Mazda type trucks and eight bolt buses are allowed to carry a weight of 20 tons.

The Ministry of Public Works expects all drivers and transporters to carry and transport their weights in accordance with the scheme so that the roads, which are a national asset, are not destroyed. Violators of this plan will be dealt legally.
