According to the Ministry of Public Works, it has devised a plan for the installation of temporary stops beside the nation’s roadways and has requested the removal of the stop signs from the highways from the pertinent businesses and persons.

The decision to identify roadways, put up traffic signs, and take down unneeded signs was decided in the cabinet meeting, according to a notification from the Ministry of Public Works.

 

The source continued, “According to this decision, ministy has completed the preliminary survey for the installation of curved and convex barriers and is still ongoing in four other provinces.

In order to implement the plan (plan to prevent traffic accidents and irregularities), in cooperation with the Department of Traffic, installation of traffic signs in 28 provinces of the country and collection of unnecessary signs are planned.

 

The ministry said that the parts of the project that are related to the Ministry of Public Works have been sent to the Ministry of Finance for financial funding.

 

The Ministry of Public Works has stated in the notice that in order to prevent personal and financial loss of the citizens and to activate passive sources of income, the Kotal area of ​​the Kabul-Gardez highway in the Mahipar area of ​​the Kabul-Jalalabad highway. In the Gardez-Khost highway, in the Sto Kondo area, Salang pass and Kabul-Kandahar highways, a plan for the construction of temporary stops has been also prepared and sent to the Ministry of Finance for the purpose of funding the budget. Implementation will begin soon.

 

The Ministry of Public Works has asked all the citizens to refrain from installing unnecessary signs along the highways and to remove the existing unnecessary signs from the highways and to help the Ministry in implementing this plan.
