The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum in Afghanistan conducted a tender for the sale of 60,000 tons of crude oil from the Amu Darya area says a statement of Hamayon Afghan the spokesman of the ministry of mines and petroleum.

The event, held in the ministry’s conference hall, was attended by high-ranking officials, including Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, Minister of Planning and Policy Sheikh Zia-ul-Rahman Al-Aryoubi, Engineer Hassan, President of Emirates Oil and Gas Company, representatives from Afchin Company, participating companies, and media outlets.

Acting Minister Delawar, in his opening remarks, emphasized the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to transparency and responsible management of Afghanistan’s natural resources. He highlighted the country’s rich mineral reserves and the government’s dedication to extracting and utilizing these resources for economic growth, particularly in the oil and gas sector.

The tender, which attracted 18 companies, aimed to sell 60,000 tons of crude oil from the Amu Darya area through a transparent process. Yama Petroleum Company emerged as the winning bidder, securing the contract by offering the highest price.

The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum extended an invitation to all national investors to participate in the oil and gas sector, encouraging investment in refineries for crude oil processing within Afghanistan. This tender marks a significant step towards the development of Afghanistan’s oil and gas industry, aiming to generate economic benefits for the country.
