KABUL, Nov. 30 – The Ministry of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan held a consultative and coordination meeting attended by Minister of Information and Culture, deputies, presidents, spokespersons of the IEA, officials and representatives of the government and private media outlets at the Government Information and Media Center in Kabul, today.

 

Acting Minister of Information and Culture Mullah Khairullah Khairkhah, expressed that media should adapt their broadcasts in the interest of the country and according to Islamic values, Afghan traditions, and national interests, avoiding spreading false information.

Mohajer Farahi, the deputy of the ministry adressing the meeting said that the ministry strives to address the problems of media in the country asking representatives of the media to publish the accomplishments of the government to the people and the problems of the people to the officials of the governament.

Media representatives and journalists shared issues with ministry officials, assuring to work for national interests of the country.

The policy of the Islamic Emirate is to boost the media in the country and make its operations professional and standardized, said the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, in this meeting.

Mujahid assures that the Islamic Emirate is making its efforts to address the economic and other problems of the media and journalists in the country.
