KABUL, Nov. 22 – Since the beginning of the year, it has collected more than one and a half billion Afghanis in revenue and has also brought relief to taxpayers, said Ministry of Finance in a statement.

The Ministry said: “As a result of professional and timely actions of the Department of micro revenue collection, zero corruption, piety and appointment of professional staff the ministry has collected one billion and 589 million AFN in revenue so far in first 9 months of the current fiscal year.

 

Despite the fact that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has reduced the tax rate of trades from 1.5 percent to 0.5 percent in order to encourage businessmen and shopkeepers, however still a significant increase in revenue collection compared to the past has been observed.
