In a compassionate gesture, the Acting Minister of Water and Energy, Alhaj Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, conducted a visit to the “Omari Camp” in Torkham, Nangarhar Province, where refugees deported from Pakistan are temporarily housed.
During his visit, Minister Mansoor engaged with the displaced individuals, listening attentively to their concerns and grievances. He reassured the refugees that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has established a dedicated committee to address their challenges effectively. Furthermore, he urged local and security authorities to exhibit compassion in their interactions with the refugees, considering the significant losses and hardships they have endured.
While at the Omari Camp, the Acting Minister of Water and Energy assessed the operations of local committees, the Ministry of Defense, Repatriation and Refugee Affairs, the Red Crescent, and other pertinent organizations. Subsequently, he provided recommendations aimed at enhancing the support and assistance provided to the refugees, ensuring a more effective response to their needs.
