During a visit to Nangarhar, Mr. Khalil Rehman Haqqani, the Minister of Refugees and Returnees, paid a visit to the Omari camp in Torkham. The purpose of his visit was to listen to the concerns of the affected individuals residing in the camp, particularly those impacted by recent heavy rains and typhoons.

Mr. Haqqani expressed his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by returning Afghan refugees, assuring that new tents and necessary materials would be promptly dispatched to the camp.

Additionally, the Minister of Refugees and Returnees facilitated the handover of ambulances, water tankers, tents, and other vehicles donated by China to the relevant officials responsible for assisting internally displaced individuals and returning refugees. In his role, Mr. Haqqani also visited the Immigration Office in Torkham, where he provided essential recommendations to ensure efficient and transparent operations.
