Minister of National Defense Meets Head of Intelligence and Borders of Uzbekistan

KABUL, Jan. 31 – Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqub “Mujahid,” the Acting Minister of National Defense, held a meeting with Mr. Abdulsalam “Azizov,” the Head of Intelligence and Borders of Uzbekistan, along with his accompanying delegation, says ministry of national defense of the IEA.

The discussion focused on border issues, enhancing bilateral relations, fostering economic and transit cooperation, and addressing other areas of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the Acting Minister of National Defense emphasized the importance of strengthening and improving the cordial relations between the two neighboring Muslim countries. He stated, “We have made significant efforts to enhance our country’s borders in the past year, and we are determined to continue strengthening them in the future.”

Furthermore, the Acting Minister of National Defense assured the Uzbek side of the readiness of the defense and security forces of the Islamic Emirate to cooperate in various areas, including the implementation of development and investment projects and other sectors, with other countries.

Likewise, the Uzbek side expressed their commitment to strengthening relations with the Islamic Emirate and continuing collaboration in various sectors, reassuring the people of Afghanistan about their ongoing support and cooperation.
