Minister of Mines and Petroleum meets with Turkmen officials

During a visit to Turkmenistan, Mr. Mullah Hidayatullah Badri, the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Cabinet Minister, the Minister of Oil and Gas, the Director of the TAPI Project, the Minister of Industry and Urban Development, and the railways director.

Discussions during these separate meetings focused on projects related to TAPI, TAP, Railway, and Oil and Gas, as stated by Humayun Afghan the spokesperson of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.

 

Humayun Afghan reported that the Minister of Industry and Urban Development of Turkmenistan expressed interest in investing in Afghanistan’s iron mines during these discussions. Hidayatullah Badri also proposed the establishment of a joint complex in Herat.

Additionally, the Ministry of Mines Minister advocated for the extension of the railway to Herat and Balkh in a meeting with the Turkmenistan Railway director.
