KABUL, Feb. 23 –  The Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Shaikh-ul-Hadith Shahab-ud-Din Delawar welcomed Mr. Mohammad Murad Amanov in his office and thanked him for his cooperation in the presence of Alhaj Mawlawi Mohammad Issa Akhund, Technical Deputy and a number of directors, Mr. Mohammad Murad Amanov, General Director of Gas Pipeline Company, Mr. Khwaja Awazov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting focused on the work of the TAPI project, Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Shahabuddin Delawar inquired from Mr. Amanov and his accompanying delegation about the commencement of work on the TAPI project.

The Director General of the TAPI Project thanked the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum and their close cooperation with the country. He informed about the establishment of an office for land acquisition under the supervision and control of the Ministry of Finance, Agriculture and Mines and Petroleum, security, taxation and land acquisition for the TAPI gas project.

He also mentioned that the launch of the TAPI project in Afghanistan will be celebrated with special ceremonies.

In the end, both sides pledged to work together to get the project started.
