KABUL, Feb. 17 – The Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Sheikh Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, held a meeting in his office with the Executive Director of the TAPI Project, Murad Amanov, along with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Khaja Awadov, and their delegation, said a statement of the ministry of mines and petroleum.

The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss and emphasize the acceleration of project activities.

During the meeting, Mr. Delawar highlighted the significance of the Tapi project, not only for Afghanistan but also for all the countries involved. He expressed that all Afghans support this major economic venture, and the Islamic Emirate is prepared to cooperate in any capacity regarding the project.

The TAPI project aims to transport gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India through Afghanistan. Upon its implementation, Afghanistan stands to benefit from annual transit revenues of $400 million, among other advantages.
