Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, expressed gratitude to Turkey and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for hosting the Istanbul 2024 Halal Exhibition, hailing it as the premier trade event in the Islamic world. He extended an invitation to the private sector of the Republic of Turkey to showcase their domestic products and goods in Afghanistan.

 

The Acting Minister also highlighted the investment prospects in Afghanistan and encouraged participants to explore various sectors for investment, as well as visit the country’s tourist and historical attractions.

 

Mr. Alhaj Azizi elucidated the objectives behind the Afghan delegation’s involvement in the event, emphasizing its role in fostering economic and trade collaboration among Afghanistan, the Republic of Turkey, and regional countries. The aim is to introduce Afghanistan’s halal commodities and services to global markets, attract foreign investments—particularly from Turkey—and establish new avenues for cooperation.

 

The Istanbul International Halal Fair 2024, encompassing 45 countries, including Afghanistan, showcased domestic products and goods from various sectors in 450 booths over a span of four days, making it one of the largest fairs in the region and globally.
