The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, held a meeting with Mr. Aybek Usmanov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kabul this afternoon.

During the discussion, both parties deliberated on various matters including the provision of land for erecting a cement factory in Samangan province, acquiring necessary permits for the transportation of machinery and equipment from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan for geological survey projects in the northern regions, securing the Afghanistan Standard Certificate for Uzbek diesel, and expediting the progress of the construction project in Uzbekistan.

Moreover, the conversation encompassed topics such as the Sairkhan-Pul-e-Khumri power transmission line and its extension to Jalalabad city in Nangarhar province, the enhancement of the Tarmoz International Trade Center, the establishment of a hospital and residential infrastructure, the advancement of this market towards Afghanistan, and the organization of an international halal exhibition in Tarmoz.

Furthermore, during the meeting, Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi was cordially invited to visit Uzbekistan. It is noteworthy that the issues discussed were previously agreed upon during the visits of the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Uzbekistan and the visit of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan to Afghanistan.
