KABUL, Nov. 2 – Alhaj Maulana Abdul Baqi Haqqani, the acting Minister of Higher Education  along with the deputies met with Mansoor Ahmad Khan, the Pakistani ambassador to Afghanistan.

The acting minister of Higher Education expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its cooperation in the areas of education and called for resolving the problems of Afghan students in Pakistan besides providing higher education to Afghan refugee youth living in Pakistan. The Minister also asked the Pakistani ambassador for details on the scholarships provided to Afghan students.

Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, also promised to help Afghanistan in the areas of education and provide scholarships to Afghan students. He said Afghanistan and Pakistan share common religious and cultural ties.

It is noteworthy that the Pakistani ambassador invited a technical team led by the minister of higher education to visit Pakistan to meet with the parties concerned regarding educational affairs and to share the problems connected to this.
