KABUL, Nov. 13 – According to ministry of water and energy, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E Alhaj Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, and his accompanying delegation met with the CEO of Iran’s TAVANIR Company, Engineer Arash Kurdi, during their visit to Iran.

The delegation discussed and exchanged ideas about further cooperation in the field of energy development between the two countries, added a statement of the ministry.

During the meeting, Mr. Kurdi welcomed the Acting Minister of Energy and Water of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the accompanying delegation. He pointed out the deep historical relations between Iran and Afghanistan, emphasizing the need for more cooperation in the field of electricity.

Meanwhile, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water thanked the officials of this company for their hospitality and promised more cooperation in the field of electricity between the two countries, referring to the strengthening of security in Afghanistan.

Similarly, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water highlighted the electricity load shedding problem from Iran’s side this year, And he requested measures to prevent such problems in the future and urged a reduction in the tariff of electricity energy from Iran. At the end of the meeting, it was decided that meetings between the technical officials of both sides should continue.
