As per a statement of the ministry of national defense of the IEA, the technical staff of the Kandahar Air Brigade successfully repaired an MI-17 helicopter that had been previously deemed non-operational and set for decommissioning.
Despite its initial state of disrepair, the helicopter was restored to working condition and flown once more by the proficient engineers belonging to the maintenance and care team of the Kandahar Air Brigade. This achievement was made possible through the dedicated and persistent efforts of the seasoned engineers within the aviation department.
Mullah Mohammad Isa “Yasin,” the commander of the Kandahar Air Brigade, expressed his gratitude to the aviation engineers, commending their hard work and dedication. He also conveyed his optimism for continued progress in similar endeavors. It is noteworthy that the brigade has a history of successfully repairing and putting into operation numerous helicopters in the past.
