Message of Political Deputy Prime Minister on International Women’s Day

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

قال الله تعالی : ((وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰ أَن تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا ))

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we congratulate all the beleiving, faithful and suffering women of Afghanistan.

Throughout history, the world’s Muslim and especially Afghan women have played an effective role, in various conquests, in the expansion of education and even have played an vital role in the triumph of the current 20-year jihad.

The holy religion of Islam treat men and women alike as the two wings of society. It honors and respects women and calls everyone to respect women and treat them with justice and good relations.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has given special rights and respect to women in the light of Islamic rules and instructions.

The Islamic Emirate does not want to deceive women with empty slogans and cant promises like in the past and use them as tools to get projects and monetry benifits. Rather, the Emirate wants women’s status and honor to be protected in the real sense and to be blessed with happiness in this world and the hereafter. The Islamic Emirate has strictly prohibited forced marriage of widows, giving women in ending enmity and punishing them for uncommitted sins, and similar injustices and atrocities on women.

The Islamic Emirate strives to give girls the conditions for education and a safe and secure environment for women to work and conduct business in society. They also work to help women see themselves as capable of succeeding in all spheres of life within the confines of Islam and Afghan culture as well as contribute in development of socity.

Finally, once again, I wish my beloved, faithful and proud women a happy women’s day.
