Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, convened a meeting with Song Win Bing, the President of the First Mes Ainak Contracting Company, and his accompanying delegation, today.

During the meeting, Mr. Bing expressed his commitment to expediting operational activities at Mes Ainak. He emphasized the significance of the Islamic Emirate’s presence in addressing various mining challenges, underscoring the necessity for continued collaboration with the Afghan government.

Mr. Song Win Bing outlined plans to invest over five billion dollars in the initial phase of the Mes Ainak project. Following the completion of an extended road to the site, mining operations are set to commence, with essential machinery scheduled for importation to Afghanistan in the upcoming year.

He further disclosed that 3,000 Afghan workers will be directly engaged in this venture, with intentions to send a cohort for specialized training in China post-recruitment. Delays in the project, he noted, were attributed to historical considerations and alterations in the mining strategy.

Subsequently, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy of the State Minister, extended a warm reception to the head of the First Mes Ainak contracting company and its delegation. He lauded the mutually beneficial relations between China and Afghanistan across various sectors, affirming the Islamic Emirate’s readiness to collaborate with the company in initiating practical operations at Mes Ainak.

Emphasizing the urgency to kickstart operations at Mes Ainak, the Political Deputy stressed the importance of avoiding unnecessary delays.

In conclusion, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir reassured the First Mes Ainak Contracting Company that relevant authorities would work in unison to address and resolve any challenges faced by the project.
