A gathering was convened under the leadership of the Chief of the Directorate of Affairs Department to eradicate detrimental customs in the nation.

In accordance with the initial decree issued by the Commander of the Faithful (may God protect him), on Saturday, the 13th of Jumada al-Thani 1446 (24th of November), a meeting was organized under the direction of Sheikh Maulvi Noorul Haq Anwar, Chief of the Directorate of Hadith. This meeting brought together a collective representation including the Ministries of Encouraging Good, Forbidding Evil, and Hearing Complaints, Guidance, Hajj and Endowments, Education, Higher Education, Information and Culture, the Supreme Court, the General Directorates of Darul Ifta, as well as delegates from the Ulema Councils, Central and Fiqh Councils, all with the shared aim of combatting negative customs.

Commencing with recitations from the Holy Quran, the meeting was addressed by Sheikh Maulvi Noorul Haq Anwar, who provided an in-depth briefing on the agenda to the attendees. Deliberations during the session underscored the prevalence of harmful customs and extravagant practices within Afghan society, deemed contrary to Islamic principles, which have inflicted economic, moral, and social hardships on people across various regions of Afghanistan for an extended period. It was acknowledged that addressing these issues effectively necessitates collaborative efforts from pertinent Emirati institutions, scholars, and influential figures.

Conforming to the directives of the esteemed leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the delegation formulated and sanctioned a framework aimed at curbing and reforming negative customs and extravagant practices. The participants expressed optimism that this approved framework would yield beneficial outcomes on a national scale, fostering commendable and valuable results.

The meeting concluded with a closing supplication led by Sheikh Hadith Khalifa Saeed Ahmad Shaheed Khel, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Encouraging Righteousness, Forbidding Evil, and Hearing Complaints.
