Meeting Held on Establishing Temporary Port for TAPI Project Equipment

A meeting was convened to address the establishment of a temporary port facilitating the transportation of essential equipment and pipelines for the TAPI project into Afghanistan.

To facilitate the commencement of construction for the TAPI gas pipeline within Afghanistan, representatives from pertinent agencies of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan gathered in Sarhadabad, Turkmenistan.

The focus of the meeting centered on establishing a temporary port in the Aslim Chashma region along the Afghanistan-Turkmenistan border, designated for the transit of equipment and pipelines into Afghanistan. Detailed discussions were conducted regarding the technical specifications of the temporary port, with the Afghan representatives demonstrating full readiness for its construction.

Subsequent to the meeting, both Afghan and Turkmen delegations conducted a thorough inspection of the construction site for the port and the storage facilities for the pipelines and equipment designated for the TAPI project in Sarhadabad, Turkmenistan.
