KABUL, Sept. 5 – At least 58 enemy personnel were killed a martyr attack, latest in the series of Operation Omari hit Ministry of Defense in Kabul city, the Afghan capital late Monday.

A first blast targeted the enemy personnel at the gate of Ministry of Defense as they were about to leave work, killing a number of the officers and soldiers including Abd ur Razaq Panjshiri, the defense ministry’s support brigade commander.

Shortly after the massive blast, Hafiz Khalil Kandahari, a Mujahid of the martyr unit of the Islamic Emirate set off his explosives as a large number of enemy military personnel gathered at the site of first explosion to evacuate the dead and wounded.

A total of 58 enemy personnel including officers were killed in both blasts.

Gen. Abd ur Razzaq, the commander of support brigade, the head of Howz-e-Doum (the security district two ) and his deputy as well as 2 guards of Ashraf Ghani were among those killed in twin blasts that rattled the Ministry of Defense.
