KABUL, Sep. 05 – Mr. Ahmad Azam Abdul Rahman, the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ special representative for Afghanistan, met with the Honorable Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the IEA, says foreign ministry in a statement.

Malaysia’s special representative expressed his satisfaction with the security situation in Afghanistan and added, “I have come to Afghanistan with a special message from Malaysia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs; I hope that the relations between the two countries will develop more than before.” At the same time, I wish to convey Kabul’s message of growing partnerships and cooperation.

The Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, congratulated Abdul Rahman on his new position and expressed his hope that you will play a constructive role in the development of these connections. The message from your Foreign Minister is very significant to us, and I believe it will help to develop bilateral relations.
There are good prospects for both countries’ businessmen to travel and invest in Afghanistan, which should be capitalized on, he added.
Finally, both parties stressed the need of deepening connections and boosting collaboration.
