KABUL, Mar. 31 – Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, today hoisted the largest flag of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan at Mohammad Akbar Khan hill at Kabul.

During the ceremony, which was attended by a number of cabinet members and other leaders of the Islamic Emirate, Mr. Hanafi said that the white flag of the Islamic Emirate is a symbol of peace, brotherhood, sovereignty, unity and the Islamic system.

Thousands of young people have sacrificed their lives to raise the banner of white flag and monotheism.

Referring to the vision of esteemed Amir ul Mominin, he said that in order to achieve economic stability and prosperity, infrastructure projects would be launched across the country and to reach a prosperous Afghanistan, we started from the Khosh Tepa Canal, which is made up of the national budget.

Deputy Chief of Staff Sheikh Mawlawi Noorulhaq Anwar lauded the sacrifices made for the rule of Islamic law in the country, saying the white flag was a great symbol of the country’s independence, security and stability of the central government.

Chief of Defense Staff Qari Fasihuddin assured that the country’s security and defense forces are fully capable of maintaining Afghanistan’s independence and territorial integrity and will not allow anyone to take Afghanistan back to battle ground.

Mawlawi Ahmadullah Muttaqi, thanked all the guests and participants and congratulated them on hoisting the white flag and declared it the common Islamic and national value of all Afghans.
