BALKH, Mar. 30 – Inauguration ceremony of the largest agricultural water canal in QoshTipa began with the presence of a number of high-ranking officials of the IEA, officials, representatives of domestic and foreign institutions, tribal elders and religious scholars.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy PM of IEA at the inauguration ceremony of the largest agricultural water canal in Balkh said, the IEA is planning to provide a number of other self-sufficiency projects for the country and will begin soon.

Noureddine Azizi, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade at the opening ceremony of the Qushtipa Canal said IEA is economy-oriented and always strives for the people of Afghanistan to live a peaceful life like other countries adding that this inauguration proves that Islamic Emirate works for the betterment of the countrymen.

Minister of Information and Culture: despite economic difficulties, starting such a big project is a sign that the IEA is focusing to develop the country under the umbrella of the Islamic system and to provide facilities to the nation in all aspects.

75% of our nation is engaged in agriculture. We will do our best to solve all problems besides water, as it needs water first of all.

Zabihullah Mujahid while addressing inauguration ceremony of Qosh Tepa canal project said It is a great pleasure today to inaugurate the great canal of Qosh Tapa.

The completion of this project we will make us self sufficient in the development sector and people’s support is very important in the completion of this project.

The IEA will fully support this project to the best of its ability.
