FARAH, Jun. 14 – Reports say, on Tuesday night Mujahideen attacked enemy check posts in Larwn Bazar and Tangi areas of Pur Chaman district just after enemy reinforcement troops arriving there by helicopters.

Firefights lasted for about 3 hours, causing heavy losses to enemy.

After noon hours on Wednesday, enemy fled and left their positions in the said areas after they got ware of Mujahideen attacks, transferring 25 corpses, newly appointed police chief and other wounded gunmen with help of helicopters.

With enemy fleeing compound of police chief – Mala Ibrahim – and 9 check posts along with 8 defense lines fell to Mujahideen while purging Larwn Bazar, Sadar Bath, Dasht Ghla, Dahanga, Da Tarkan, Da Shanba, Khanba, Dara Malkan, Maidan Rez, Kharmashak and Malgan Killi areas complete from enemy.

A ranger pickup and a sizable amount of war equipment have been seized while Mujahideen are still carrying clearing operations.
