Large area cleared as 8 posts overrun in Faryab

FARYAB, Sep. 30 – Mujahideen carried out coordinated attacks on enemy check posts in Pogani area of Pashtun Kot district overnight, amid ongoing Mansouri annual operation.
Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted till early morning hours, overrunning the said area after taking control over 8 check posts, leaving a hireling commander – Fatah – wounded along with a gunman and forcing the rest to flee while seizing a sizable amount of war spoils, too.
It must be mentioned that another enemy check post has also been overrun in the said province’s Dawlatabad district overnight, killing commander Juma along with another gunman and confiscated a good deal of ammunition.
