Large area cleared as 2 posts overrun in Faryab

FARYAB, Sep. 07 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Mansouri’, Mujahideen carried out coordinated attacks on enemy positions in Raies Qul area of Pashtun Kot district overnight.
Gunfight of heavy and light arms lasted till early morning hours, resulting in 2 posts overrun forcing the enemy to flee leaving 14 motorbikes and other tools behind on the battle ground.
A Mujahid is said to have been wounded and another one has embraced martyrdom.
It must be mentioned that 2 more posts were overrun in Gardi Murshagar area of the said district, killing 2 puppets and leaving 2 others wounded.
