The initial stage of the maintenance and monitoring initiative for the Kharwar Dam in Logar province has concluded, with a total expenditure of around 31 million Afghanis. Specifically within the Kharwar district of Logar province, the first phase of the Kharwar Dam maintenance and monitoring project has been successfully finalized, costing 30,999,992 Afghanis.

This dam boasts a storage capacity of 11.1 million cubic meters of water, has the capability to generate 362 kilowatts of electricity, and can effectively irrigate 2,155 hectares of land. Oversight for this project falls under the Logar Provincial Water and Energy Department, with financial backing provided by the Ministry of Water and Energy.
