Key military base overrun in Tarinkot, helicopter shot

URUZGAN, Mar. 20 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen carried out an assault on a strategic enemy base in Khorma area of capital Tarinkot last night.
Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted till midnight, during which an enemy helicopter was also shot and downed near a hireling airbase.
The base was completely overrun, forcing the enemy to flee while leaving numerous war tolls and weapons behind.
