Key commander among 8 killed and wounded as post overrun in Lashkergah

HELMAND, Aug. 19 – At around 12:45 am local time last night, Mujahideen carried out attacks on a hireling check post which were irritating local civilians overrunning the post after killing 4 puppets and destroying a ranger pickup.
Later on enemy reinforcement arriving the scene came under a Mujahideen ambush during which an APC and a vehicle were destroying killing commander Khaksar Popalzai and leaving another commander and 3 puppets deadly wounded.
A rifle, 2 biniculars and other tools were seized by Mujahideen.
