Authorities from the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock in Kandahar have reported that this year, 61.25 kilograms of saffron were exported from Kandahar to various foreign nations, with a significant portion of these exports directed to the United Arab Emirates, India, Canada, Germany, and Uzbekistan.

Officials further note that this year’s saffron harvest has not only penetrated local markets but has also made inroads into international markets, significantly enhancing Kandahar’s standing and value, especially within the agricultural product sector.

In the year 1402, 17.96 kilograms of saffron were exported to the United Arab Emirates, India, Canada, Germany, and Uzbekistan. This figure indicates a notable increase by 2.5 times compared to previous export volumes.
