Kandahar-Herat highway remains block in Nahr Siraj, offensive repelled

HELMAND, Aug. 08 – Officials say at around 6:00 pm local time on Sunday enemy troops arriving Shindak Manda and Yaklang areas for unblocking the Kandahar-Herat highway, faced tough resistance of Mujahideen and sparking heavy clashes that lasted till early night hours, destroying an enemy APC by IED attack and forcing the enemy to flee after suffering heavy casualties.
