This morning, on the 18th of December 2024, Kam Air initiated its direct flights between Kabul and Doha, and vice versa. The first flight from Kabul to Doha was welcomed by Mr. Hamad Al-Khater, the head of Qatar’s airport, along with embassy staff, senior officials from the Ministry of Transport of Afghanistan, the director of Kabul Airport, the interim head of the Qatari embassy in Kabul, the general manager of Kam Air, a distinguished delegation from Islamic Emirate, representatives from Qatar Airport, and members of the Afghan and Qatari media.
During the proceedings, Dr. Mohammad Naeem, the Acting Ambassador of IEA in Qatar, hailed this milestone as a significant move towards enhancing and broadening the ties between Qatar and Afghanistan, with a focus on facilitating travel for the citizens of both friendly nations. He highlighted the ongoing efforts of Islamic to enhance and expand facilities across various sectors to better serve its citizens.
