KABUL, jun. 19 – The Acting Minister of Higher Education Sheikh-ul-Hadeeth Mawlawi Nida Muhammad Nadeem met with the special representative and ambassador of Japan for Afghanistan.

The acting minister of higher education greeted the special representative of Japan for Afghanistan and provided information on the country’s educational system and accomplishments in this area. He also expressed his happiness at their arrival, saying: “It is very good that foreign diplomats come to Afghanistan and see the situation closely, so that they do not judge based on the propaganda of some biassed media.”

Additionally, he requested that Japan’s special envoy for Afghanistan work with Afghanistan to erect academic facilities, laboratories, and train faculty members.

Kanushka Nagwaka, the special envoy of Japan for Afghanistan, and Takashi Okada, the ambassador of that nation, both commended the security situation in that country and stated that conditions are currently favourable for the development of education and other sectors there.

The acting minister of higher education provided information on women’s education to the special envoy of Japan for Afghanistan, who also committed to assist Afghanistan in the area of education.
