KABUL, Dec. 01 – A high-ranking delegation from the Islamic World Scholars Association, met Minister of Foreign Affairs of the IEA Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, to discuss pressing issues, says ministry of foreign affiars of the IEA.
Minister Muttaqi expressed gratitude for the association’s support and cooperation during and after the triumph of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan. He also acknowledged the painful situation in Palestine, with its martyrs, refugees, and ongoing sacrifices, emphasizing that sacrifices have always been the driving force behind success.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs lauded Qatar’s positive and rational role in the Palestinian cause.
Foreign minister highlighted the remarkable progress in Afghanistan, citing political and economic developments and the country’s newfound status as an oil-producing nation.
Dr. Ali Qara Daghi, Secretary General of the Islamic World Scholars Union, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and extended greetings to Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. He emphasized that the Palestinian issue is a responsibility shared by the entire Muslim community.
Deputy Minister of Education, Mr. Sibghatullah Wasil, highlighted the educational achievements of the Islamic Emirate.
Additionally, prominent figures such as Muhammad al-Hassan al-Dado, head of the Center for Scholars’ Development, Muhammad al-Sagher, leader of Al-Hiyyah Al-Alamiya Ansar al-Nabi, renowned historian Muhammad Ali Salabi, and Nawaf Takrouri, head of the Palestinian Scholars Association, expressed solidarity with Afghanistan, affirming that the scholars of the Islamic world stand firmly behind their cause.
They stressed the importance of sharing Afghanistan’s experiences and documenting its victories against invaders.
The recent earthquake in Afghanistan and the displacement of refugees from Pakistan were acknowledged as challenging tests, with confidence expressed in Afghanistan’s ability to overcome them.
Concluding the meeting, Muttaqi extended thanks to Qatar for its assistance and urged the delegation to portray the true picture of Afghanistan to the global community. He also expressed gratitude to them for supporting those affected by the earthquake and returning refugees, emphasizing the need for support from the international community.
