The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a scientific and research meeting focused on the St. Petersburg economic meeting.

This research meeting, titled “Effect of St. Petersburg Economic Meeting on Russia-Afghanistan Interaction,” was initiated by the Ministry’s Center for Strategic Studies.

It has been announced that the delegation of the Islamic Emirate, led by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, will participate in the St. Petersburg economic meeting.

Previously, a delegation of high-ranking officials from the Islamic Emirate also attended the “Russia-Islamic World” economic forum held in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan.

In light of ongoing conflicts in Ukraine, experts suggest that Russia has shifted its focus from European markets to Central Asia, South Asia, Africa, and other regions. Afghanistan’s strategic position holds particular significance in this context.
