The release of 1000 Kabul administration prisoners by the Islamic Emirate in exchange for 5000 of its own prisoners as stipulated in the Doha agreement was completed by our side today.
The leadership of the Islamic Emirate decided to release the remaining Kabul administration prisoners on the occasion of Eid ul Adha that it committed itself to releasing in the Doha agreement.
The Islamic Emirate successfully completed this process by releasing a total of 82 prisoners today in Herat, Farah, Ghor, Nimroz, Zabul and Balkh provinces.
The prisoner release process began on the 24th of Haml 1399 and was completed by the Commission for Prisoner Affairs of the Islamic Emirate during a three-month and sixteen-day period as 1005 Kabul administration captives were released from thirty provinces in fifty four rounds – clearly proving that the Islamic Emirate is serious and leading about reaching a peaceful settlement.
We have periodically shared reports about the date, number and round of captives released with the media and would like to share it once more in the below table.
