KUNDUZ, Dec. 17 – The Islamic Emirate organized a meeting in the country’s north amid at promoting education and providing literacy and training, according to Al-Emarah News.

The meeting attended by the teachers and students from different schools and Madris as well as Ulama (scholars) and a large number of the regional people took place in Imam Sahib district of northern Kunduz province on Saturday.

There were all-inclusive talks on different topics and issues ranging from education to security and ongoing challenges facing the next generation.

The meeting concluded with Dua.

Al-Emarah News separately said a speech competition organized under the supervision of the Islamic Emirate’s commission for learning between grades 4 and 5 took place in Wazi Khwa district of Paktika province on Friday in which the contestants had to compete in subjects of mathematics and Talimul Islam (education of Islam), while participants gave speeches on the importance Islamic and modern education, Islamic ethics and values during the program.

The program initiated with a few versus from the Holy Quran and ended in the late afternoon hours of the day after offering dua.

Special awards were offered to prizewinner towards the end of the program.
