The Ministry of Rural Development and Reconstruction has announced the initiation of an irrigation project in the Gardi area of Khan-e-sheen district, Helmand, at a cost of 3.7 million Afghanis.

 

As stated by the Ministry, this endeavor entails the construction of three tunnels measuring 36 meters each and a protective wall spanning 420 meters.

 

Notably, following the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, significant focus has been placed on addressing water scarcity issues in remote regions of the country.
