The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Iran to Kabul and Special Representative of Iran for Afghanistan, Hassan Kazmi Qomi, says Foreign Ministry.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and strengthen the friendly relations between Afghanistan and Iran, highlighting the importance of being good neighbors.

 

During the meeting, Minister Muttaqi expressed his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries. Additionally, Mr. Qomi commended the Islamic Emirate’s stance against the occupation of Gaza by the Zionist regime and the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus. He also expressed gratitude to the Islamic Emirate for removing barriers to the Helmand river crossing to Sistan.

 

Overall, the meeting focused on fostering closer ties and cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran, while acknowledging shared interests and regional concerns.
