KABUL, Dec. 13 – Mr. Hassan Kazmi Qomi, Iran’s special representative and ambassador for Afghanistan, held a meeting with the respected Mawlawi.Amir Khan Mottaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.

In-depth discussions took place regarding recent economic developments between Afghanistan and Iran, the challenges faced by Afghan refugees in Iran, and bilateral political and economic cooperation. Upon welcoming the Iranian delegation, Mr. Mottaki emphasized the importance of resolving the legal and judicial issues concerning Afghan refugees in Iran and effectively maintaining strong bilateral relations in political, economic, and cultural spheres.

 

At the beginning of his address, Mr. Qomi acknowledged the visit of a high-ranking Afghan delegation to Iran, led by the Economic Assistant to the Minister of State, which has contributed to the advancement of bilateral cooperation. He further highlighted the significance of regional connectivity and the development of economic cooperation in strengthening the political and economic ties between the two nations.

 

During the meeting, both sides stressed the need for mutual dedication and constructive actions to enhance and expand comprehensive relations between Afghanistan and Iran.
