Minister of Interior Affairs, H.E Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani met with the UN Special Coordinator for Afghanistan Affairs, afternoon hours on thursday, said a statement of interior ministry.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Feridun Sinirlioğlu said: The international community wants good relations with Afghanistan. After the last 40 years,security has been strengthened,progress has been made in the fight against corruption and drugs.There should be coordination between Afghanistan and the world in the fight against drug trafficking and terrorism.

He added that: Afghanistan was one of the first countries to become a member of the United Nations after its establishment, and the seat of Afghanistan is one of the first seats of the United Nations.

Feridun Sinirlioğlu called human rights the fundamental rights of all people and said that the concerns of the United Nations should be taken into account.

 

H.E Khalifa welcomed the guests and called their arrival a good move regarding the interaction with the world, H.E Khalifa said: The world’s interaction with Afghanistan is under the shadow of the last 20 years of occupation, and in a way, it is the continuation of the politics of that era, which we do not consider useful.

H.E Khalifa pointed about the narcotics and said:
The Islamic Emirate has made every effort to eliminate narcotics and has fulfilled its responsibility; The international community should also play its responsibility in assisting to provide alternatives for the livelihoods of farmers.

 

H.E Khalifa said that the security situation of the country is reliable and the efforts of the enemies have failed. He said that: Daesh fighters do not exist openly in Afghanistan they may have hidden limited intellectual supporters, which is not a cause for concern but by mentioning about this phenomenon too much is preaching for it which should be avoided.

Mr. Feridun Sinirlioğlu said: I received a lot of information from your meeting, which I will include in my report. Also, he expressed hope for girls to go to school and university.

In the end, Mr.Feridun Sinirlioğlu appreciated on time release of the kidnapped Turkish engineer.
