KABUL, Dec. 21 -Honourable Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Minister of Interior of the IEA in a meeting with Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan, highlighted the positive relations between Afghanistan and Russia, emphasizing that the exchange of delegations between the two countries will contribute to further strengthening bilateral ties.

Mr. Haqqani expressed that the security and stability in Afghanistan are crucial for the entire region, including Russia.

The officials from both countries discussed a range of topics, including bilateral relations, security concerns, trade development, and Russia’s support for Afghanistan in regional and international forums.

Zamir Kabulov also emphasized the importance of a stable Afghanistan for the well-being of the entire region and commended the efforts of the Islamic Emirate in this regard. He expressed the desire to enhance bilateral trade between Afghanistan and Russia.

It is woth mentioning that Afghanistan’s foreign minister, in a separate meeting with the Russian representative, conveyed Afghanistan’s readiness to actively facilitate the transportation of Russian goods to South Asia once the Salang highway is fully restored.
