KABUL, Dec. 20 – Acting Minister of Interior Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani met a delegation of Turkish scholars on Tuesday, says ministry of inteior.

Sheikh Ibrahim Sardar, the head of the Turkish scholars’ delegation, highlighted the longstanding historical ties between Turkey and Afghanistan, as well as the shared values they possess and commended the Afghan people for their sacrifices in the struggle for freedom and praised the accomplishments of the Islamic Emirate.

Sheikh Ibrahim recognized that governing and upholding Allah’s will is a significant challenge and responsibility for both the country and its people.

 

Mr. Haqqani warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude to the Turkish government and scholars for their contributions to the construction of mosques, madrasas, and schools in Afghanistan. He also acknowledged their support during challenging times. Khalifa Sahib emphasized that despite obstacles faced in practicing Islamic teachings and worship, the scholars remained steadfast in promoting religious devotion and the call to prayer.

 

Mr. Haqqani affirmed the strong bond between the delegation and Afghanistan, based on the principles of Sharia and the bonds of religion and brotherhood. He regarded the scholars’ visit and their valuable advice as instrumental in strengthening the Islamic Emirate.
