Interior Minister meets Afghan refugees returning from Pakistan in Torkham

NANGARHAR, Nov. 08 – The Interior Minister Alhaj Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani and his delegation met the returning Afghan refugees in Torkham and assured them of all cooperation, said ministry of interior in a statemwnt on X.

Mr. Haqqani criticized the government of Pakistan, which is forcibly returning Afghan refugees to the country against international norms. According to him, all Afghans are saddened by the grief of these refugees.

 

In his speech to the returning refugees, the Acting Minister added, “The honor of Afghans is in their country and it is good that they return today instead of tomorrow for the sake of the country’s progress.”

 

Mr. Haqqani mentioned the responsibility of the Islamic Emirate towards the returning citizens and according to him, the Afghan government is committed to use all possibilities to facilitate the returning refugees.

 

Mr. Haqqani appretiated the businessmen, charitable organizations and rich people of the country for helping the countrymen.

It is worth noting that the businessmen accompanying Mr. Haqqani on this trip announced the aid of nearly 20 million Afghanis with the refugees returning from Pakistan.
