NANGARHAR, Jan. 17 – The Islamic Emirate’s institution of higher education convened a conference Tuesday in Bati Kot district of Nangarhar province to emphasize the importance of higher education and present ways to further improve it.

The participants included academia, renowned scholars, prominent tribal elders and tribesmen, students and teachers and principals of schools and Madaris.

Its aim was to highlight the significance of higher education in the country and to facilitate ways to help improve and promote education and work to together for the development and progress of the country.

The meetings began with recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran and many participants gave talks on different topics.

The emerging issues and challenges facing the Afghans were discussed and solutions to the issues and problems were presented during the meeting.

The seniors of the commission and the experts and scholars offered their opinions and views to resolve the problems in the light of Islam in accordance with Quran and Hadith.

It was reiterated that the Islamic Emirate will strive hard to safeguard the life and property of the people and will do everything it can do to provide them with all the possible facilities so as to help them live life of ease and comfort.

The partakers, towards the of the program, pledged their support to Islamic Emirate and vowed to offer full cooperation and assistance to keep up the good work side by side with the Islamic Emirate.

Finally, the meetings ended with the Dau (prayers).
