It is an undeniable fact that the Afghan people have displayed immense bravery and made significant sacrifices in defending their country against various aggressors throughout history.

Looking back over the past half-century, we can recall instances where Afghanistan faced attacks from formidable adversaries. The British, with all their strength and power, attempted to invade our land three times but were met with substantial losses and shame. Just within sixty years, the Soviet Union launched an invasion, with its red army instilling fear even in a distant superpower like America.

Subsequently, the United States, along with 48 armed forces including NATO, attacked Afghanistan, employing a range of weaponry and elaborate plans over a span of 20 years. However, even they eventually retreated, having suffered significant personal and financial losses, taking some of their local collaborators with them.

Within such a short period, countless stories, memories, and events unfolded during this colossal war and its numerous incidents. Yet, we must recognize that the swift passage of time, complexity, and self-serving manipulations pose grave threats to these historical accounts: loss and distortion. The living witnesses of this critical era, those who were present on the battlegrounds and in the political arenas during the Soviet and American invasions, are gradually disappearing from our midst.

Disturbingly, there are opposing forces that seek to distort the glaringly evident facts, employing new technologies to propagate false narratives and deceive the younger generation. Regrettably, some fringe elements even attempt to glorify those who were actually responsible for betraying our nation.

Now, as an independent country with national sovereignty, it is incumbent upon us to safeguard our Jihadi monuments and memories. We possess the necessary tools and capabilities to fulfill this religious and national duty. It is imperative that we take prompt and collective action, leaving no room for negligence.

To achieve this goal, officials at every provincial and district level throughout the country must swiftly take measures to protect historically significant landmarks in their respective areas. Failure to do so will result in harm to future generations, who may be exposed to distorted narratives and fabricated tales instead of their true history. We should not allow ourselves to be taught by the enemy about their malevolent ideologies.

Regrettably, little has been done thus far to preserve our Jihadi values and safeguard the truth of our history. However, this matter is of utmost importance and cannot be neglected for another thousand years. We must accomplish the work of years within months, and the work of months within days. The government and its citizens must join hands and shoulder this crucial responsibility together.
