We are deeply saddened to hear that a number of our countrymen have been martyred and more than 100 have been injured due to storms in various areas and districts of Nangarhar, said Zabihullah Mujahid the spokesman of the IEA in a statement on X.

Surely to Allah we all belong and to Him is the return.

We wish Janna-ul-Firdous (Paradise) for all the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the injured. Our deepest condolences go out to the families of the victims.

The statement adds that all relevant organizations of the Islamic Emirate have been instructed to reach the affected areas immediately. They are to take steps to transport the martyrs and the injured, provide shelter, food, and medicine to displaced families, and utilize available resources to rescue those in need.
