Holy Quran recital completion held in Logar

 LOGAR, June 9 – The Islamic Emirate held its Husn-e-Qiraat competition (Quran recital completion) in Logar province of Afghanistan, Al-Emarah News said on Thursday.

The competition in good Qur’an recitation and memorization between the Afghan Qura (memorizers & reciters) organized by head of the Education & training Department of Islamic Emirate took place in Mohammad Agha district of the province on Friday.

Huffaz (Quran reciters), Ulama and students from different Madaris and Dar rul Hifaz (religious institute) and a large number of people took part in the competition.

Best Quran reciters (Huffaz) demonstrated their skills, reciting verses from Holy Quran with beautiful and melodious vices in different style in accordance with the rules of Tajweed (melodies and phonetics).

The participants’ performance was judged by a jury of religious experts including Qura (memorizers of Quran) who were expert in Tajweed and recital of the Holy Quran. 15 Huffaz winner were presented with rewards.

The main reason for organizing such event is that we want to tell our nation that Quran is the book of guidance for entire mankind. It tells and teaches what is right and what is wrong. It guides humanity in every aspect of life.

The aim of the competition is to spread the culture and education of the Holy Quran, help more people memorize the Quran and promote the good recital of the Holy Book.

Similarly, to encourage students to recite the Holy Quran was well as providing them with the opportunity to compete with each other with the best recitation of the words of Allah.

The program concluded with prayers to Allah Almighty for the oppressed, displaced persons and orphans from war-torn areas. All prayed that may Allah grant eternal rest to the souls of the martyrs and the deceased.

Meantime, residents appreciated Al-Emarah for its untiring efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
