Hisarak district liberated, dozens gunmen killed and wounded

NANGARHAR, Aug. 20 – At around 03:00 am this morning amid the ongoing ‘Omari’ campaign, Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate launched coordinated attacks on Hisarak district center which was under a siege for the past couple of days.

6 check posts and a large military base were also overrun by Mujahideen yesterday, leaving 28 gunmen killed.

The operation in which heavy and light weapons were used resulted in the district center and all surrounding areas falling under the control of Mujahideen, tens of gunmen killed and their corpses left behind as well as several APCs, vehicles, arms, ammunition and other equipment seized.

All praise belong to Allah, no Mujahideen were harmed in the successful operation.
